Mapping

cameras and programming

Camera Footages of pedestrians are “difficult” to be recognize by the computer. There is still no (affordable) software yet, which can precisely analyze the movement of pedestrians per 1 m2. The developed software strategy specifically designed for the ArenA Boulevard, allows the camera to create time-lapsed images of pedestrian flows from high buildings.

In a “trial and error” process the software will be further developed, eventually converting camera images into heat maps, tables, and grids of 1 m2.

From high positions series of time-lapse images are made to track and visualise the pedestrian movement traces.
